Greg Hewett

Innovator, Key Grip, Mentor

Greg grew up in Boulder Colorado. First got the bug of film-making watching Woody Allen film "Sleeper" at his fathers work place, NCAR, at 12 years old. Moved to LA in 1985. Lived in his car for 2 months determined to make California work. Worked as a still assistant for 10 years with many world class photographers. Most interesting day was lighting 63 stars at the Bronson Gate for Paramount's 75 Anniversary with Terry O' Neil. Eddie Murphy didn't show up that day, Elizabeth Taylor was an hour late. Graduated AFI as a cinematography fellow in 88. Worked on Janusz Kaminski's second student film. Only one Corman film, not under Rodgers watch kept Greg away from that opportunity. Worked with NEO motion pictures for many years. Moved to New Mexico in 1996 after doing "Infinity" there a few years before. Commuted to LA for 10 years before making a commitment to the New Mexico Film market. Still works as a Key Grip on projects with old friends around the globe. Grateful for all of the opportunities that life has given him. Looking forward the adventures that lie ahead.
